Sudam Institute
Sudam Institute of International Sand Art Organize Sand Art work Shop at the Puri Beach every day and on Every Sunday for the Children’s (More than 300 Students).
Our Artiste-cum-teachers put the best of their endeavors to make the students understand how to spell complex thoughts in to simpler sculptural design. Number of students after learning have earned their livelihoods and acclamation which not only serves the rural and urban community of Odisha but also make Odisha art enrich and there by boost Odisha tourism at large. The creative cult gets its culmination to spread its wings far & wide and make Odisha proud of this indigenous art form. "Let the sound of sand spread in silence."
"Sudam Institute of International Sand Art" moves still further to
make the art popular among unprivileged SCs/STs meritorious students
and slum dwellers to change their life style as well as to bring smiles in
their lips. The school ' further aims at fostering tribal & folk art to make
Odisha paint in aborigine art form. The exuberant art of sand can be
traced back to the era of Ramayan & the Puranic era of Pancha sakha.
The "Bali Pinda" offered by mother Sita to King Dasarath and the chariot
of sand made by Balaram Das in the golden beach at Chakratirtha, Puri
have left footprints of this sacred art in the canvas of times dune.
Now the sand arts have the versions of sand animation & sand
paintings. They express our feelings, emotions depicting life in its tears &
smiles. The art transcends the aesthetic values to make us understand
the finer aspects of life.
We need to nourish this rare art form to present before our
successors who can lead it still further.
"Sudam Institute of International sand art" a non-Govt., non
political and nonprofit making voluntary organization in the cultural
capital of Odisha serves day and night to inspire hundreds of children of
different age groups to feel the essence of this exotic art.
From the visual perspective our art teachers have an uncanny
grasp of the sculptural and pictorial language of sand. The portrayal of
different characters in different moods serves a colorful and artistic ode
to nature.
Besides classroom theories and practical sand sculptor, our
school organizes seminars, exhibitions and work-shop on regular
intervals. We invite experts & resource persons in varied fields to refresh
our students on different natural sights, monuments, shrines, historical
and mythological sculptors, scientific developments etc. to keep them
updated and abreast.
We also inculcate awareness for the planet we live in. Global
warming, forestation, save the animals, save sweet water zones, keep
the environment green & clean, save the oceans, go for peace & nonviolence,
help the child, respect women, respect for the tourists (Atithi
Deba Bhabo) etc. are some of the few out of hundreds of campaigns we
are undertaken through sand art so far. While depicting we keep a keen
eye on our culture, heritage and habitat. "Live & let others live" is our
message in clean & green. We believe in the "equation of ecology".
Through sand art we inculcate interest among the tourists to
learn about our rich heritage and culture and there by steer a
momentum at grass-root level to foster international brotherhood and
amity. More & more tourists pour in to our land to visit, to study and to
make researches on our culture, heritage and habitat. Sudam Institute of
international sand art guides & inspires them providing information’s &
